Front pages of the world


  • What is your favorite newspaper front page? Why? "the desert sun" because it gives a lot of details on stories and the weather forecast.
  • What is your favorite headline from that newspaper? Why are you interested in it? "its like a mini-Coachella". i am interested in this because I'm always listening to new music from new people.
  • How many stories are on the front page of your favorite? 7 stories.
  • What do you notice that all newspaper front pages have in common? Look at design, size of photos, size of story text, etc. they all have the name of their newspaper as their font.
  • What are things that vary (or are different) on the front pages of different newspapers? they all have different stories, based on were they live.

    lenses and photography vocabulary

    i would use a telephoto lens to shot at a football game.
    i would use a prime lens to shot at a basketball game to focus on the basketball players.
    i would use a wide angle lens to shot at the formations that the band performs.

    depth of field- the distance in front of and beyond the subject that appears to be focus.
    light- the amount of light exposed to the photo.
    shadows- effectively used to focus a viewers attention.
    diffusion- scatter light
    exposure-long-duration shutter speed to sharply capture the stationary elements of images while blurring , smearing, or obscuring the moving elements.
    aperture- is the opening in the lens of the camera.
    shutter speed- is how fast the shutter  on your camera opens and closes, letting in light to compose.
    ISO- was originally a measure of the sensitivity of photographic film to light. it is measured as 100 , 200, 400, and 800.
