lytro warm-up

1. What did you see happen when you clicked on the photo? the photo zoomed in and you could see more clearly.
2. How does this new camera work?it makes objects look more clear.
3. What do you think a photographer would have to know about to take this kind of photo (remember its a point-and-shoot, so its full manual mode, what do you need to know about) you need to know how to zoom in the manual focus.
4. Is it worth the money? to me its worth the money you spend on this new camera.

1. List the changes that were made to the model's face in the computer. (Look carefully) they made the neck longer, and the eyes bigger, and they fixed the hair of the model.

2. Is it ethically acceptable to change a person's appearance like this in a photo? Why or why not? to me i don't think its right because, their taking away her natural beauty, and making something unreal.

3. Are there circumstances in which it would be more ethically wrong to do this type of manipulation? i think yes it does, because maybe the model didn't want that.

4. What types of changes are OK, and what aren't? i think the changing the way the hair positioning is, thats OK, but when you change their body and other natural things thats when its not okay.

5. Explain what you think the differences are between fashion photography and photojournalism.
fashion photography, is used for many things like advertisements, products, and beauty things, and you HAVE to make it perfect, by editing it. photography is more natural (in some cases) and its used in many different meanings.

6. What relationship does each type of photography have to reality, and how does this affect the ethical practice of each?i think its what type of camera you have and how you use it, rather than just "taking" the pictures. it takes practice.
